Awards/Honors: [High School]: All State 2nd team defense (2003), All conf 2001-2003. [College]: All Conf 2nd team offense (2007)

Born in Bridgeport, CT and grew up in Nashville, TN (13yrs). Started out playing football at the age of 7. Moved from Nashville to play football at Norwich Free Academy High School played all four years.

Attended Tennessee State University for a semester but withdrew for personal reasons. Moved back to Connecticut to attend Western Connecticut State University.

Made the Colonials football team as a walk-on in the Spring. Way was the leading receiver of 2007 and earned a bid for the All-Star 2nd team offense of the NJAC. He recorded 39 catches, 557 for an average of 14.3 yards a catch and 5 touchdowns. He also rushed 3 times for 41 yards and one touchdown. Before Way's senior season, during summer camp he suffered a elbow injury that kept him out for the first half the season.
