As a defensive back, Ramon Johnson possesses the skills and physical attributes teams need and have come to expect.  Put simply, Ramon is strong, fast and athletic.  These simple qualities convert into a complex array of ability on the field. He has unbelievable quickness and speed with great hands and vision. He has technique and strength to overpower receivers on the line and the speed to recover. Ramon takes very good angles when making a tackles and is not afraid to get inside the box and destroy a ball carrier. Ramon has good instincts, is always around the ball, and very competitive when the ball is in the air. He has ideal size to play either safety position and corner. He is excellent on punt and kick coverage teams, showing exceptional body control and tackling ability even at top speed.
 
College Career
 
Ramon played in 39 games over his four-year college career and recorded a total of 83 tackles.  He also returned 16 kicks for a total of 296 yards.
 
Professional Prospect
 
As a professional, Ramon has the speed and agility to play corner or nickel back, the size and strength to play safety and can cover at any of those positions. He has great straight-ahead as well as lateral speed, allowing him to cover deep outside patterns, as well as intermediate crossing routes. Ramon plays the run well and takes pride in doing so.  He excels in punt and kick coverage and is an asset on any special team.  He is consistently one of the strongest players on his team and definitely the strongest at his position.
